Event Description

GFAMILY BUSINESS CONNECTIONS

The Scottish Family Business Association and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland have joined forces to launch Family Business Connections. By providing a series of eight interactive workshops our aim is to help those who work for, or advise family businesses, succeed in what is recognised as one of the most challenging business sectors.

How Family Business Connections can help you
 Whatever your role, Family Business Connections will help you understand the needs of family businesses and provide you with the tools to deal with them;

 Family businesses can face challenges such as transfer of ownership, conflict between family members or disagreements about shareholdings. Whether you are currently dealing with any of these issues, or simply want to be prepared should they occur, this forum will help;

 Typically, only 33% of family businesses survive to the second generation and only 9% to the third. Bringing family businesses and their advisors together at this forum will not only help to improve the family business, but also provide a valuable opportunity to build stronger relationships.

Who should attend
These workshops are open to anyone involved in family businesses in whatever capacity.

Cost £800 plus VAT for 8 workshops.
How to book
The first workshop will be held in Glasgow on Wednesday 8th December 2010 with further dates arranged through to June 2011. Numbers are strictly limited and allocated on a first come basis and we strongly advise early booking. To reserve your place, please contact Gillian Wishart on 0131 347 0226 or email gwishart@icas.org.uk.
