Introduction

We are a consulting firm specialising in the wide field of family office, advising and working with a very international client base of business families, entrepreneurs and family offices. Our consulting scope comprises topics such as family governance and succession planning in regard to the family business and wealth, as well as the set-up and review of family office structures regionally and worldwide. We also accompany families who have taken the decision to sell the family business - be it entirely or partly - and provide guidance throughout the transaction process and the subsequent liquidity event. In the latter case, we often run family workshop and advise on where the family office will be set up, how will it be staffed and which services will be provided and how. In addition, we also work with a number of family office clients on re-structurings and perform so-called "family office reviews" where we conduct efficiency analyses - both in terms of costs and functionality - often resulting in optimisations in respect to investment processes, governance or infrastructure. Our international client base, reaching from Asia, the Middle East, Europe and to the Americas, allows us to leverage our country-specific and cross-border know-how and provides with plenty of best practices thereby enabling them to think "out of the box" and to implement innovative ideas.
For me, the topic of family office relates very much to entrepreneurship which is where the majority of wealthy families come from and which remains at the heart of the majority of (single) family office structures. Entrepreneurs invest differently and will always seek opportunities and such skill and drive should be transferred to the next generation as much as possible. I strongly believe in the circle of going from a business family to a family office and back - since the engine for growth as well as the stronghold for the family remains the business rather than the (liquid) wealth.

HI Corinna,
Welcome both the the UK FBA and to the Executive group. Peter has spoken very highly of your experience, committment etc and we are really delighted to have you on board.

It did occur to me that as an Executive, we should beging to share our experience/background in relation to family business with each other? My [incomplete] understanding is that we bring a very wide variety of experience to the table and greater awareness of the 'pool' would be useful. Would you be happy to write a very brief introduction to beging this process?

Best wishes,

Claire
