Observing Larger Family Businesses: News from Matalan

Finding out more about larger, private firms with a significant family involvement in their ownership can be tricky, so last week's Sunday Times 'Top 100 Private Firms' was interesting indeed. One firm highlighted was Matalan - a company that was featured again in the Business Section of The Times on Saturday June 26th 2010 where strong sales growth in challenging economic conditions, rising revenue and gross profit margins were highlighted.

Emotions research in family business

Hi there,



Just emailing with Nava Michael-Tsabari who is working on a literature review of emotions research in family business. Nava and colleagues Rania Labaki and Ramona Kay Zachary (Heck) will be presenting a literature review paper at IFERA and also holding a Professional Development Workshop on Emotions in FB on Tuesday 6th July.
